THE fairytale return for former Australian under-19 bowler Rob Cassell continues. The Melbourne swing bowler took a top-order hat-trick in his second match back from a five-year lay-off with back complaints.Last week the 26-year-old took the Dogs' top four wickets and this week his hat-trick came when the Magpies (8-244) were one wicket down. The Dees (6-245) got up at the Camberwell Sports Ground after Matt Brown (61 not out) hit a six and a four in the last three balls.Demon official Michael Sholly said star batsman Simon Dart, who has served a two-match suspension from last season when with Hawthorn, will come straight in.St Kilda (9-140) also had a win on the second last ball. Fast-medium pacer Dan Babula (4-20) took a bag of wickets, then helped his team across the line against Casey-South Melbourne (137).Babula (10 not out) and fellow seamer Dan Mueller (six not out), came together in the 48th over with the Saints 9-126 at the Junction Oval.Mueller hit a four to give St Kilda two wins from as many starts.Premier Ringwood (5-314) was again impressive, with Tom Stray (98) and Ben Osborne (82 not out) top scoring over the Hawks (108).Lions Tim Sheehan (83 not out off 113 balls) and Matt Bremner (100 not off 116 balls) took them from 4-55 to 4-245 to establish a target too great for Northcote 9-140.Essendon (3-98) brought Richmond (95) back to earth after the Tigers' first-up win. The Tigers struggled from the start, and were 3-1 off five overs, including a wide.Prahran (3-196) captain Neil Schlittler lit up Merv Hughes Oval with a match-winning 25 runs off 10 balls to hold out the Dogs (6-194).Dandenong (8-233) ran over Melbourne Uni (62). Carlton (4-182) defeated North (8-179), and Geelong's (4-200) Liam Buchanan (100 off 84 balls including five sixes) and Damian Shanahan (80 off 89) helped to defeat the Heat (9-199).–BRUNSWICK Park (7-280) kept its premier women's status in the final re-match over EMP (215).The Parkers captain-keeper Emma Inglis hit 103 off 125 to guide her side to victory.
